The NIES-Microbial Culture Collection being a national institution of Japan does not fall under the requirement to fill the form W-8 (Certificate of Foreign status of beneficial owner for United States Tax Withholding). Please, make sure with your own administration that the payment procedure can be done without the form W-8.

Sales tax (5%) is included, but postage is additional to the price of the strain. However, the NIES-Collection distribute selected strains without charge for educational use in schools and universities. In this case, the user cannot specify the species or strains. Please contact the staff of the NIES-Collection for details.
Payment should be made before the due date by bank transfer to the bank account indicated on the invoice from NIES. Charges for bank transfer are incurred by the user.
